Sala Ayutthaya - A Minimalist Instagram Dream

Sala Ayutthaya is a contemporary boutique hotel perfectly situated on the Chao Phraya River with a fabulous view of Wat Phutthaisawan. What drew us here was the red brick wavelike entrance combined with the all white minimalist walls of the pool area. The contrast of old and new perfectly represented Thailand.

The red brick walls mimic the bricks of the old temples in Ayutthaya..

.. while the clean white geometric shapes represent modern design.

Even the staircases are harmoniously blended into all the details.

You just can't beat the view from the floor to ceiling window in the river view bedroom.

There's even a hot tub to soak in while you watch the sun give way to night. 
 

The dining room has a splendid view of the Chao Praya River along with a delicious breakfast where you can choose from Burmese delights to Western omelets.
