Located in Agritopia, an urban agriculture-focused community, Joe’s Farm Grill is one of the most popular restaurants in the area since it uses produce from the farms inside the community gardens.

Depending on the season, anything from heirloom tomatoes, Asian greens, endives, peaches, plums, apricots, and all sorts of other vegetables can be had from the farm plots.

An interesting mixture between BBQ and Mexican food, the self-taught pitmaster declares the BBQ here as Arizona style.

I absolutely love BBQ Brisket and found it to be moist and full of delicious smoke flavor!

You can also purchase their homemade salsa which comes in several flavors, my favorite being the Hot Gringo Green.

Located in one of the largest olive oil patches in Arizona, you can take a tour of the facilities, browse and sample olive oils, and also have a bite to eat at their delicious on-site restaurant!

I recommend trying some of the menu items that use the on-site olives such as the Kalamata Sandwich, which was featured on the Food Network.

One of the best pure BBQ joints in town - Joe’s uses a dry rub and pecan wood to slow cook all his BBQ. You really can’t go wrong with anything here but our favorites here was the brisket, which was very moist and full of smoky flavor!

If you’re in Downtown Mesa and looking for a place to hang out or cool off with an iced coffee, make sure to swing by Jarrod’s. The cafe is full of wonky art, interesting locals, and also had great sandwiches.
