Best Women's Travel Shoes
We’re all looking for comfortable and good-looking travel shoes! Luckily, I’ve traveled around the world testing out all sorts of shoes in all different kinds of environments.

From places like Paris, France to Jaipur, India - here are some of my best recommendations for women’s travel shoes:
My Pick: Allbirds Wool Runners
If you’re like me, when I’m traveling I like to have shoes that are comfortable, lightweight, and stylish.
For this, I turn to Allbirds Wool Runners. They come in many great colors, have a simple & clean design, and optionally can be worn without socks. I love that they’re made with itch-free merino wool that’s very breathable, sustainable, and are easy to wash.
I’ve taken them all over the world and a single pair has lasted me many years!
A great second option, especially for warm-weather trips, the Allbirds Tree Breezers are equally as comfortable and stylish. They are also lighter and smaller than the Wool Runners.
Instead of using wool, the shoe is made from eucalyptus pulp which gives the Tree Breezers more of a lighter feel. The Tree Breezers also provide a more snug fit than the Wool Runners, which is perfect since they are a bit more stretchy.
Comfort-wise, they are similar to the Wool Runners but are better for warm weather and for those wanting an even more minimal look.
On top of it all, Allbirds is a sustainable brand focusing on earth-friendly materials and smart manufacturing. Many of their shoes are carbon-neutral, so you can feel good about buying a pair from them.
My Picks: Poppy Barley Mary Jane Flats
All of Poppy Barley’s shoes have a special insole that provides support and comfort.
These Mary Jane flats pass the 20,000 steps a day test with flying colors! I pack these for all my trips!
My Picks: Birdies Starlings
One of my favorite picks for an exquisite blend of style and comfort - the Birdies Starling are outrageously comfortable and add a nice pop of style to any outfit. We’ve taken them on our travels through Paris, Rome, San Francisco, and more!
What makes them so comfortable?
Well, they have a seven-layer footbed that combines high-density memory foam and a plush quilted satin fabric that will let you stay on your feet all day!
For a unique pair of French-styled sneakers that will have people turning heads, the Sezane Sam Sneakers are made sustainably and have a beautifully designed textile and leather exterior.
My Pick: New Balance 327
Sometimes you just want the most cushiony shoes with great grip - that’s where the New Balance Suede 327 sneakers come in! They have a really nice color combination with that classic look. Bonus, you can also go hiking or do some exercise in these!
Also, New Balance is a legendary brand that’s been around for a while, so you know these shoes will be durable enough anywhere you take them.
My Pick: Teva Hurricane Drift
If you’re going somewhere warm or tropical, your best bet might be a pair of sandals. We love the Teva Hurricane Drift for its uniform color and low-key look. Since they’re Tevas they’re also outrageously comfortable, lightweight, durable, and can be used for all sorts of outdoor activities.
I’ve taken them around the streets of New Delhi, on hikes in the Arizona mountains, and through the marbled steps of Rome.
